A toxicologist* evaluates the risk of toxicity of normal and foreseeable use of skincare products, taking into account the reprotoxicity** data of each ingredient and calculating a margin of safety for use of a product by pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Protecting the Most Vulnerable from the Dangers of the Sun
The sensitivity of the skin is heightened during pregnancy, so it is important to not neglect the importance of wearing sunscreen.
Melasma, or ‘pregnancy mask’, is the appearance of irregular brown spots, spread across the face in blotches. It can appear or worsen during pregnancy because of increased hormonal activity.
Care should be taken after giving birth, especially when breastfeeding, for the same reason.
As such, the use of a SPF50+ or SPF50 sunscreen is recommended from the beginning of pregnancy.
