Dark Spot Correcting

Our Dark Spot Correcting Range

Our Dark Spot Correcting routine goes beyond correcting what the skin reveals. It targets the underlying causes and acts directly at the source of pigmentary imbalance.

Based on the concept of cellular memory, our innovation not only helps correct existing dark spots, but also supports the skin in restoring balanced pigmentation over time.

How do dark spots form?

Melanin is the pigment that gives skin its colour and helps protect it from the sun’s aggressions. It is produced by specialised cells (melanocytes) and then distributed across the skin’s surface.

With excessive sun exposure, hormonal changes or inflammation, this process can become unbalanced. The result is an overproduction of melanin that is unevenly distributed. It accumulates in certain areas, forming visible dark spots.

These spots can take weeks to fade naturally. That is why it is important to act at the source of these imbalances, to help restore a more even, radiant complexion.

Learn more about dark spots

Hyperpigmentation can be caused by several factors:

• Exposure to sunlight
• Skin ageing
• Skin inflammation (irritation, friction, breakouts, acne-related blemishes…)
• Hormonal fluctuations
• Genetic predisposition
• Blue light and pollution, which generate free radicals
It affects all skin phototypes, from the lightest to the darkest.
Whatever the root cause, the underlying mechanism is the same: overproduction of melanin.

The most common forms:
• Melasma or pregnancy mask: hormone-related dark spots
• Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: marks following irritation or acne
• Solar lentigines: brown spots caused by skin ageing and sun exposure
