Relatively new compared to the usual skincare products, Serum has made a place for itself in our beauty routines. But what is it really for? Could it replace our creams? How do you apply it? We will answer all of these questions.
What makes Serum unique is its texture and formula highly concentrated in active ingredients. It is lighter and more easily penetrates the skin than creams do. Therefore, it is rapidly absorbed and does not prevent you from applying a more nourishing product afterward.
It provides surface-level and deep-down benefits, all while preparing the skin to receive other products. It is worth remembering that the skin is divided into three layers: the epidermis constitutes a protective layer at the surface; the dermis, rich in collagen and elastin fibers that provide facial tone and volume, is in the middle; and the hypodermis deepest down. How Do You Apply A Serum?
Serum should be used every day to complement your day or night cream and not as a replacement.
Indeed, it is designed to prepare the skin for their application, thus multiplying their effects. Just apply a few drops into your palm, warm them up between your hands, and then gently place them flat on the face, without rubbing.
Start with the cheeks, then the forehead, the chin, and the décolleté. The idea is to deposit the product using light pressure so that it gently penetrates the skin.
The gesture is crucial: on one hand to avoid creasing the skin, and also to preserve the active ingredients.
Finally, to increase the benefits of a serum and to allow it to reach the deep layers of the skin, you should remember to exfoliate the face at least once a week with our certified Organic Radiance Scrub.
