Lulled by the sound of the surf and raised in the sea, taking care of the oceans is essential for us. Therefore, we rigorously design and test our Suncare products to ensure minimal impact on the ocean.<\/p>\n

At Laboratoires de Biarritz, we follow three fundamental pledges:<\/p>\n

  2. commit to minimize the impact of our skincare on the environment,<\/li>\n
  3. provide scientific proof for all our claims.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    These pledges are reflected in our Sensorial Suncare through:<\/p>\n

    • A combination of safe filters
      \nOur Sensorial Suncare product range was elaborated using chemical filters that are safe for the skin and that ensure an invisible finish. Whereas some synthetic filters have come under scrutiny for health effects (like octocrylene, oxybenzone, or octinoxate), at Laboratoires de Biarritz, we selected safe filters that protect the skin by absorbing UV light.<\/li>\n
    • Highly Natural Contents
      \nOur Sensorial Suncare contain between 73 and 84% natural-origin ingredients. Those are truly exceptional numbers for sunscreen products! The rare synthetic-origin ingredients, such as filters, were selected by our R&D after an exhaustive screening process to support their safety.<\/li>\n
    • Proven Non-Ecotoxic
      \nAn estimated 6000 tons of sunscreen products end up in the oceans every year. As a form of pollution, it can impact numerous living organisms, with damaging effects such as contributing to coral bleaching or hampering algal growth. That is why we are dedicated to scientifically evaluating the impact of our Suncare on aquatic ecosystems. Carried out by independent labs, the studies were performed on a wide variety of species present in both fresh and saltwater, representative of different trophic levels and food chains.
